Last weekend, I had one of those moments that reminded me why I love what we do so much. ❤️
I met the sweetest family—Joshua and Allison, a wonderful married couple, and Joshua’s sister, Julienne.
Joshua and Allison picked out a beautiful six-hole wooden salt rack and filled it with a collection of TUFF Momma® Salts. Later, they came back to our booth and brought Julienne with them because they wanted to show her how much they loved everything.
And then something happened that I’ll probably never forget.
Right there at our booth, Allison decided to gift Julienne a three-hole wooden salt rack of her own.
Julienne’s eyes filled with tears.
Then Allison got emotional.
And, of course, so did I. ❤️
At first, I was touched by the simple generosity of it… the love Allison was showing her sister-in-law.
But then another thought hit me.
These salts are going home with them.
They’re going to sit on their kitchen tables. They’ll be passed around over breakfasts and Sunday dinners. They’ll season meals shared with family and friends. They’ll be there for laughter, stories, celebrations, ordinary Tuesday nights, and maybe even some of life’s really big moments.
And suddenly I realized…
We don’t just make gourmet salt.
We get to become a tiny part of people’s families.
A bottle of TUFF Momma® Salt might seem like such a simple thing. But food has always been one of the ways we gather. We connect. We take care of each other. We create memories.
Standing there trying to explain that to Joshua, Allison, and Julienne, I got so teary I could barely get the words out.
So we did what you do when words aren’t quite enough.
We hugged. ❤️
Joshua, Allison, and Julienne thank you for reminding me that what we make is about so much more than seasoning food.
It’s about seasoning life.
And knowing that TUFF Momma® Salt gets to have a little place at your family table is something I will never take for granted. 🧂❤️
