🌺 WHAT DO WE LOVE ABOUT COCKSCOMB? Pretty much EVERYTHING!
Would y’all LOOK at these beauties?! 😍 We’ve got some absolutely GIANT cut Cockscomb stems at the stand, and they’re just waiting for you to work a little fall magic! 🍂✨
Cockscomb gets its name from those incredible velvety, ruffled blooms that resemble a rooster’s comb — and these beauties aren’t just pretty to look at!
💐 Pop them in a vase — a couple of these enormous blooms make a statement all by themselves, or mix them with zinnias, rudbeckia, grasses and greenery for a gorgeous fall centerpiece.
🎃 Get creative — tuck them into pumpkin displays, vintage crocks, baskets or your fall table décor. Those rich reds are MADE for autumn!
🌾 Dry them and keep them! Strip away most of the leaves and hang the stems upside down somewhere dark, dry and well ventilated. Once dried, they’re fantastic for wreaths, arrangements and décor that can last well beyond fall.
🌱 Save those seeds! If you allow the flower heads to fully mature and dry, you can collect the tiny black seeds and save them to plant next year.
And if you’re wondering whether you can grow them here — Cockscomb is grown as an annual in Missouri, so our winter will finish the plants off, BUT they can self-seed and surprise you with new babies the following year!
So basically… fresh flowers now, fall décor later, dried flowers after that, and potentially next year’s flowers too. 🌺😂
We’ve got these beautiful giant cut stems at the stand now — come grab a few and show us what you create because we KNOW some of y’all are about to get fancy with these! 👀🍂
