🌿🥒 It’s Friday and we’ve got another recipe for y’all to try this weekend! 🥒🌿

🌿 Twisted Fried Zucchini 🌿

Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and dangerously addictive! Whether you’re using green zucchini or golden zucchini, this easy fried zucchini recipe makes the perfect appetizer, snack, or side dish.

Ingredients
• 3 zucchini (green or golden)
• Olive oil, vegetable oil, or canola oil for frying
• 1 box Kentucky Kernel Seasoned Flour
• 3 eggs
• 2 cups milk
• 7.5 oz Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs
• Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
1. Heat approximately ½ inch of oil in a shallow frying pan to 350°F.
2. In a bowl, whisk together:
• Eggs
• Milk
• Salt and pepper
3. Pour the Kentucky Kernel Seasoned Flour into a separate bowl.
4. Pour the Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs into a third bowl.
5. Slice zucchini into approximately ¼-inch rounds and set aside.
6. Coat each zucchini slice using the following method:
• Dip into the egg wash
• Coat in seasoned flour
• Return to the egg wash
• Finish by coating in the Italian bread crumbs
7. Carefully place coated zucchini slices into the hot oil.
8. Fry until golden brown, approximately 3–4 minutes per side, then flip and repeat on the other side.
9. Remove zucchini and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
10. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside your favorite meal.

🐢🍈 Too Slow Tony might have the Sulcata Shake down to a science… but Miss Melonie has bigger plans. 🍈🐢

After hearing rumors that Farmer Tony has been gaining ground in their summer growing contest, Melonie decided it was time to call in reinforcements. 👀

Recently she held a top-secret strategy meeting with none other than Farmer Dre — the king of y’all’s favorite strawberries from Gardener’s Orchard! 🍓👑

Over a cantaloupe snack break (because Melonie insists all important business meetings include snacks 🍈😂), she sought expert advice on exactly how to dial Farmer Tony back a notch.

Sources close to the tortoise say Melonie is now more confident than ever that her dandelion patch is taking first place this year. 🌼🏆

The negotiations didn’t stop there though…

Melonie was also spotted trying to sweet-talk Farmer Dre into parting with a few extra strawberries. 🍓 Apparently they’re second only to cantaloupe in her highly competitive snack rankings.

Before anyone gets too excited, those strawberries weren’t being negotiated for her fans. Oh no. Melonie was strictly working on securing her own private snack stash. 😂🍓 She firmly believes a tortoise of her status shouldn’t have to share premium strawberries with the general public.

Whether Farmer Dre shared any growing secrets remains classified information, but one thing is certain…

Melonie has assembled her advisory team, secured a professional consultation, and is now fully convinced she’s got what it takes to beat Farmer Tony in the garden-growing showdown. Meanwhile, Too Slow Tony appears completely unconcerned by the drama and is still focused on perfecting the Sulcata Shake and locating his next snack. 🤣🐢🍈

🥒🧅 Twisted Up Cucumber & Onion Salad 🧅🥒

A simple summer favorite that’s crisp, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Perfect for BBQs, picnics, or alongside any home-cooked meal!

Ingredients
• 2 cucumbers
• 1 candy onion (white, yellow, or red)
• Salt, to taste
• Pepper, to taste
• ⅓ bottle Hendrickson’s Original Sweet Vinegar & Olive Oil Dressing

Directions
1. Peel the cucumbers.
2. Quarter the cucumbers lengthwise and slice into thin pieces.
3. Cut the candy onion into approximately 1-inch pieces.
4. Add the cucumbers and onions to a container with a tight-fitting lid.
5. Pour in the Hendrickson’s Original Sweet Vinegar & Olive Oil Dressing.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Secure the lid and shake well to combine all ingredients.
8. Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours to allow the flavors to develop. For best results, let it marinate overnight.
9. Stir before serving and transfer to a serving bowl or platter.

Tips

✔️ Use a red candy onion for extra color and a slightly sweeter flavor.
✔️ Make it a day ahead—the flavor only gets better!
✔️ Great served with grilled burgers, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, or fresh garden tomatoes.
