The Tomato House Bee Creek Rd Dave and I are so excited for summer! We’ve been giving the tomato plants lots of TLC in the greenhouse and it’s time to plant!

We can’t wait to taste delicious heirlooms like Cherokee Purple, Mortage Lifter, Arkansas Traveler and lots of others! 100% of the vegetables we sell are grown right here by us, on the premises, from seed. Baked goods are freshly made here as well in our “Bakin’ Barn”

We won’t be open this year- we are building up the soil in the field- it has been farmed too hard for many years. We didn’t test the soil when we bought the place 2 years ago and now that we have the soil test it needs to be in a cover crop to rebuild the nitrogen and other nutrients.

We are still on hold- we may have some tomatoes in a few weeks - we plowed under all but 4 rows- the extreme heat was too much this year.

We will be closed for at least 2 more weeks- waiting for cantaloupe and honeydew and still keeping our fingers crossed for late season tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and okra…When we do get more produce we will only be open on Saturdays from 9-12 . Thank you to all of our customers who visited us this summer and we will hope for a better growing season next year!

We will be open tomorrow( Saturday Aug 9th). we have some Atomic Greens, Celebrity, Cherokee Purple, salad tomatos and midnight Snack as well as some yellow squash . This will probably be our last open day for a month or so- the heat is sapping the vines. We are watering and hope the
tomatoes will recover and continue to produce through the fall so we will be open intermittently when we have enough for our sales tables. We will have cantaloupe and honeydew in about a month. I’ll post something weekly regarding our hours.

The heat has stalled the tomatoes . We will be closed tomorrow and Thursday. Open Saturday 9-noon.

We are open today at 9am. The field has slowed down again with this heat- but we have some nice Celebrity and other medium sized slicers, boxes of cherry tomatos ( super sweet 100’s, Midnight Snack and our famous Atomic Greens😀). We also have cucumbers Jalapeño and Anaheim peppers and delicious Peach Jam! No Zucchini or Squash today.
We will be closed Tuesday.
