Twas the evening before Christmas
And the tree shack was dark
The camp fire had faded to almost a spark
The peanuts were gone and the coco was cold
And the tree guys were looking tired and old
When off in the distance a car could be heard. And like every year, it’s not that absurd.
He said the plans changed because Aunt Mary was sick. All the in-laws were coming over and he had to act quick.
We started our truck and turned on the brights, while the young man frantically ran comparing tree heights.
He chose a nice spruce, it was shaken and bailed. We tied it to his roof and off his car sailed. As he drove off in the dark and faded from sight. He yelled Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
Merry Christmas from Armentrout Christmas Trees
