Busy day today at the farm. Our girls got their ultrasounds done to make sure that they are pregnant to continue to make the Brasstown Beef we all love! Thank you so much to Gordon Taft, Union County Ag teacher, Ray Aballo, and Blake McCrary with Choice Medical for assistance today.

It was an all hands on deck kind of day today at Ridgefield! Moving cattle across a busy road is always an adventure. Thanks to our guest cow hand today, Ray Aballo for assisting in taking the girls across the road and to greener pastures.

Tonight, Ridgefield farms personnel got the opportunity to go to the Blue Ridge Cattlemans meeting. Topics that were taught tonight were the importance of mineral and their location in the pasture. We also got to hear about Body Conditioning Scores of cattle and how we can implement that on our farm. Great job by Blue Ridge Cattlemen for bringing Purina for a great meeting. Thank you for letting us participate!
