Are you a car detailer? Art installer? House or commercial cleaner? Or just someone looking to make some dough without a lot of BS. We’ve got the job for you.
Vermont Islands is looking for the right person to work with some of the coolest bars in the world (yes, literally). Vermont Islands (think culinary islands) makes outdoor mobile bars, kitchens, and service stations for some of the most prestigious restaurants, hotels, and resorts in the country: Tavern on the Green, PJ Clarke’s, Hyatt, Hilton, and on and on. We build everything here in Vermont and we need someone who can help get our bars ready for shipping as well as keep the shop running with other tasks.
SO, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Final touches on our bars:
- Cleaning the inside and out (vacuum and soft cloth)
- Caulk the bar tops and counters so their secure
- Put it on a crate and get it ready for shipping
Light carpentry skills for crating the bars:
- Use a banding/strapping tool to keep the bar secure
- Have comfort with table and chop saws as well as handheld tools
- Use some pneumatic nail guns and staplers to finish the crate
Collaborate on shipping needs:
- Work with the CNC operator to grab pallet material from scrap
- Work with our office manager to coordinate what ships when
- Be flexible enough to zig when we don't need zagging
Help around the shop:
- Clean out the dust collection system about once/week
- Receive incoming mail and get it to the right people
- Use a forklift (we can teach you) to load/unload trucks
Show up when you say you will:
- We know, shouldn’t need to be said, but it's damn important

- Learn how to use the tools, forklift, and other equipment around the shop
