As you have probably heard, the world coffee market price has reached all-time highs in the last six months. Factors such as climate change, rising demand, and economic instability have contributed to a sharp increase in coffee prices, nearly doubling the cost of arabica beans.
At Mocha Joe’s we have always been committed to sourcing the finest quality coffees and paying our partners in coffee growing countries fair prices and wages. This commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.
It’s important to note that coffee farmers are not getting rich from the increased global coffee prices. They are navigating enormous economic, environmental, and structural pressures to support their families in uncertain times. Some of our farmer-Mocha Joe’s relationships go back ten, twenty years and we’re proud to continue these relationships for the coffees we all love even at higher prices.
We are expecting some price increases as we navigate the market for the rest of 2025. Please know we do not take price increases lightly and will increase only as much as needed while still ensuring we are paying our partners at origin fair, equitable prices for their great specialty coffees. When the coffee bubble bursts, we plan to adjust prices down accordingly.
Thank you for your support for 30+ years. We couldn’t do it without our farm partners and we couldn’t do it without you all.
With gratitude,
Pierre, Ellen, and the Mocha Joe’s Team
