Announcing the 2026 Elite Breeder Award Recipient - Jeff and Kate Hendrickson.

The Hendricksons of Jeffrey-Way Holsteins in Bellville, Wisconsin, have built their herd around breeding productive, high-scoring cows with longevity. Staying true to their farm’s motto, “Where family matters,” their herd is built around one foundation cow, Inwood Taffy Apollo EX-93, who they purchased in the early 1980s.

Jeff and Kate will be recognized at the National Holstein Convention in Orlando, Florida.

Announcing the 2026 Distinguished Leadership Award Recipient - Corey Geiger.

From journalism to economics, Corey has dedicated his career to advancing the dairy community. A University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, he spent 28 years with Hoard’s Dairyman, including many as managing editor, and now serves as the lead dairy economist for CoBank.

Corey has also served many dairy community organizations, including the Holstein Association USA board of directors. He resides in Omro, Wisconsin, with his wife Krista Knigge.

Announcing the 2026 Distinguished Young Holstein Breeder – Curtis Vanden Berge!

The California native says he knew from a young age that dairy farming was in his future. Today, Curtis is a partner in his family's Vanden Berge Dairy in Bakersfield, California. He has a drive to continuously improve the herd genetics, focusing on increasing components and ensuring each generation is better than the last.

Curtis will be recognized for the award during the upcoming National Holstein Convention in Orlando, Florida.

Tex-Stein Dairy has come a long way since it started in 1959. The herd has seen many improvements in production, reproduction, and even animal identification. Today, we're celebrating what the Stienberger family is most proud of - adding the fourth generation to their family farm.
