More about the band:
Sonido Mal Maïz is a Vermont based musical group that explores the psychedelic side of Latin music, weaving modern and traditional rhythms from Central and South America. The poetic storytelling in the lyrics incorporates the complexity of the myths and legends of the ancient oral culture of Central America, and the music emanates a passion and fire that is ignited in their collective heart.

Oktoberfest is nigh! October 1st, 4:30pm. Free entry!

We’ll have craft beer featuring North Chair Brewing Valley Craft Ales and River Roost Brewery as well as food from Just Two German Girls, a collaboration from Counter Cultures Kitchen and Big Boy Bagels. Grab a draught and a pretzel, relax to the sounds of Princess Kikou, and enjoy lawn games in the Farmhouse Square.

About the band:
Princess Kikou is a New Hampshire-based World Beat group which draws heavily from Afro-Caribbean influences. Made up of a core trio; Simon Gray on guitar, Jon Tshibambi on bass, and Garth Tichy on drums, Princess Kikou also features a rotating ensemble of guest players. Princess Kikou creates a unique, danceable sound, full of multi-lingual harmonies and syncopated rhythms.

We’re hiring! Retreat Farm seeks a highly-organized, outgoing, and customer-focused Event Coordinator for its premier event space, the North Barn. The Event Coordinator is an important member of the Retreat Farm team, focused on the development, growth, and impact of this exciting enterprise.

The Event Coordinator will be responsible for selling, guiding, and overseeing the ex*****on of private events in the North Barn—including weddings, nonprofit meetings and galas, high school proms, business conferences, celebrations of life, and much more. They will work closely with the North Barn Manager, part-time Event Crew Members, and Bartenders to ensure exceptional customer service.

Believe it or not, the first in our Autumn Art Workshop series with River Gallery School is only a month away!

Join us for Animal Drawing at the Farm or Thursday, September 24 from 6-8pm to foster a deeper connection with our favorite farm residents, the animals. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their animal drawing skills while spending time in the Calf Barn with our live (animal) models. Led by River Gallery School’s teaching artist, Kate Milliken, this two-hour session will provide support and instruction in life drawing with pencil and charcoal for those who need it, and the opportunity to work independently for people who prefer to be on their own. Both novice and experienced artists are welcome.
