Well Wyatt didn’t hear his ticket called yesterday, but he had fun regardless. Wyatt cook went well and he turned in some impressive pork chops and AMAZING Lobster tacos.

Trophies are cool and great, but what speaks more to us as his parents is the character cooking is instilling in him. On our way out Wyatt saw the first place winner and… “Dad hold on!” Ran over to give his friend a high 5 and congratulated him on his win with a genuine smile and being proud of what someone else accomplished.

We are seeing Wyatt turn into a natural leader and that’s the most important. Wyatt gave it his everything and the judges felt someone else was just a little bit better. And to him that’s…. ok.

On September 19th, PitKid Wyatt will be competing in the Lil’ Wranglers BBQ Contest at the Fort Bend County Fair in Rosenberg, Texas!

He’ll be taking on the Pork Chop category and the Open Category. Watching him grow in his love for BBQ, learn the craft, and have the confidence to step up and compete has been pretty special for us as parents.

Win or lose, we’re already proud of him for getting out there, putting in the work, and doing something he loves.
