A turtle-y awesome rescue! 🐢 LDWF Agent Patrick Stansbury and Agent Joel Rubio were on patrol in Cote Blanche Bay on Sept. 29 when they were flagged down by an angler who appeared to be landing a fish. As the agents approached they realized the angler was not landing a fish at all, but a sea turtle. The agents helped the gentleman quickly unhook the turtle and safely return it to the water.

Remember: If you encounter a stranded marine mammal or sea turtle in need of help, take action by calling Aquarium Rescue at 877-942-5343.
