There are cold hands, early mornings, long hours, heavy gear, and plenty of teamwork behind every piece of wild Alaska seafood that reaches your table. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s honest, hardworking, and deeply rewarding.

We may not be able to show you exactly where we’re fishing 😉… but we can give you a closer look at life on the boat and the work that happens behind the scenes.

Alaska Fish & Crab Co. is a family business, and today we want you to meet the crew behind the catch!

👨‍✈️ Dad — Captain
The captain of the Liahona and the one at the helm keeping everyone on course.

🎣 Evan — Full-Time Fisherman
Evan fishes in Alaska year-round and is a big part of the day-to-day work on the water.

🦀 Ryan — Part-Time Crew Member
Most of the year, Ryan is in Nashville running Alaska Fish & Crab Co. and bringing our seafood to you. Once or twice a year, he heads back to Alaska to join his dad and brother out on the water.

🎣 Ethan — The Quiet Crew Member
Ryan and Evan’s cousin, Ethan is a regular part of the crew and is always there to lend a hand. You’ll probably spot him in our videos… although getting him to actually face the camera is another story. 😂

🐾 And Seymour — Boat Mascot & Official Crew Member
No family crew would be complete without the four-legged member! Seymour is always ready to supervise, keep everyone company, and make sure the Liahona stays in good hands. 😉

Today, we’re introducing you to a very important part of Alaska Fish & Crab Co. — the Liahona. ❤️

This is the boat that takes our family out on the water and plays a big part in bringing Alaska’s wild seafood from the ocean to your table.

She’s seen plenty of long days, rough waters, beautiful sunsets, and, of course… a lot of crab! 🦀

We’ll be sharing more of the Liahona and what happens out on the water throughout the week.

We’re taking a little trip back home!

For the next week, Alaska Fish & Crab Co. is out in Alaska — spending time with family, enjoying the beautiful Alaskan wilderness, and, of course, getting a little closer to where our seafood comes from. 🐟🦀
