I HEARD A CHICK!!!! 🐣

It’s almost time!! She OFFICIALLY started sitting on the eggs June 1st but some of the eggs were laid the day before. We are pushing day 21 for some of the eggs so ANYTIME!!! I’m expecting a baby by tomorrow. We will see 😍🐣🥹 I’m going to try and get my camera working so we don’t miss it!!

A little backyard grocery run today 🥚🍅🫑

Collected eggs, picked my first couple of tomatoes and first bell pepper of the year, and picked a bunch more banana peppers!! The cucumbers are almost ready, the potatoes are growing, the onions are getting close to harvest, and if all goes well, our broody hen should be hatching chicks this weekend. 🐣

The homestead is looking good ☺️🌿

As someone who has struggled with Lyme disease, keeping pests under control is something I take seriously! 🐓🌿

I recently spotted mites in my flock, so I was excited to try Premo Guard’s Poultry Spray and Garden Spray that they sent me. Y’all know I try to keep things as non-toxic as possible around my animals and garden, so I’m always looking for products that fit that approach.

Today I sprayed under my chickens’ wings, their roosts, and nesting boxes, and used the garden spray around my garden areas. I’ll keep y’all updated as I continue testing them out! Premo Guard
