Cloudy water can be harmless. Or it can be a warning sign. Here is how to tell the difference.
If cloudy water clears from the bottom up within 30 to 60 seconds, it may simply be air bubbles.
If it stays cloudy, clears slowly, appears after heavy rain, or only happens at one fixture, it is worth checking. Sediment, rust, plumbing issues, or changes around the well can all affect what you see in the glass.
