It’s that time of year again! 🐣
Our farm provides hatching eggs to schools through the month of April, along with starter feed. Once the chicks hatch, the class can keep them in the classroom in a small pet cage or a large box for as long as two weeks and then return the chicks to the farm. Field trips to the farm, classroom visits and classroom teaching materials can be arranged for a separate fee. (I’m happy to work with you with regards to your school’s budget!) We are located on Route 164 off of Route 22.
Currently, we bill $30 per dozen assorted eggs of heritage and production breeds, plus $6 per quart of organic starter feed. (1 bag should be enough for one week per dozen ordered. I offer assistance by text or telephone 24/7 throughout the duration of the hatching project. The school must procure their own incubator, chick brooder box, and red heat lamp and I am happy to make recommendations.
