6 am and your bread is fresh! Which flavor are you choosing? Fresh sandwich bread? Honey Jalapeno bread? Italian Herb bread? 🍞 Finishing up some peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies and I'll be heading down to open up! I planned to open earlier this week but my oldest shih-tzu Kilala, the mother of all my doggies,started transitioning tuesday and passed away early Wednesday from old age(18) I had her for 15 years, she was my first dog Zippy's wife, she gave me 3 beautiful puppies that are 13 now and it just honestly weighed heavy on my heart and I needed to take a moment. Thank you to everyone who reached out checking on us this last week with us being closed we appreciate you so much!! We are back to regular business hours and we are stocked with fresh delicious goodies! We hope to see you soon!!

Since we are taking a break this week due to weather, what are some things you'd like to see at our farmstand? Anything we've had before that you'd like again? Something we've never made? Let us know maybe you'll see it soon! We are working on some updates while we have some down time and would like to know your thoughts and suggestions on how to make our farmstand better for youvour customers! We know our bbq sauce, the peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies, the banana pudding cookies, the honey jalapeno bread, eggs, and honey are all staples in our farmstand, so they arn't going anywhere but we want to add more!! We hope you are having a beautiful week regardless of the rain! Just know its good for all our veggies and fruit coming soon! Stay blessed and thank you for your continued love and support!!

What a great story! This is my community! Part of the reason i love Brewton!💚💚💚

😅 Everyone’s process looks different, but don’t get discouraged along the way.

Drexell & Honeybee’s started off as a dream in my heart. I saw an empty storefront in CA and I thought, one day it would be nice to have an ice cream shop called Drexell & Honeybee’s.

A few years later I moved back to Alabama, and I started making some meals and giving out coffees when I saw how senior citizens had to choose between food and medication. I realized that many in my community where struggling from food insecurity, so I started a Meals on Wheels program.

Later, through a conversation with one of our patrons, I realized that not many people have the opportunity of enjoying the small luxuries of life like eating at a restaurant…that’s when the donations-only model came to mind.

It took awhile to find the right property. Not many believed this could work, and when we found this building we didn’t open right away. We had a goal to pay off the building before we opened, so we patiently waited and worked hard.

Now we are who we are. We have given over 140,000 meals in a few short years with a small team and have been featured on the TODAY show, the Steve Harvey show etc. because we never gave up.

People might not always support your dream at the beginning, or you might think it’s going to be an ice cream shop at first, but I just want to encourage you…dreams take time, let them develop, be present where you are now, serve others, and let your passion and hard work lead you as you strive to make a difference in the world. 🌎 In due time you will see the fruit of your hard work and perseverance.

Happy memorial day friends! We are open and ready to serve! After our inventory runs out, I will not be restocking this week due to weather! Gives me a chance to do some updates and upgrades while we deal with this rain! We hope ya'll have a wonderful week and we will see you soon!
