Iâve had enough. So, a couple months ago I was fortunate enough to be one of the 200 people allowed into the gym that night to watch my nephew wrestle. Itâs his senior year. In case you arenât aware, Minnesota has been about as strict in their lockdowns as New York , California and Michigan. About 30 minutes into the dual, my glasses were fogging up so I pulled my mask down for a bit. Guy sitting behind me, (Iâll call him âCliffyâ) taps me on shoulder and tells me to pull my (swear word)mask up. Pathetic. Cliffy, you came in and sat right behind me, no social distancing, and you get 1â away from my face breathing through a piece of cotton T-shirt, and you shame me for pulling my mask down? You really have no clue.
Conclusion. Feel free to wear a mask for the rest of your life, but please donât shame people that donât wear one after weâve been in a mandate for 9 months. Are you aware that South Dakota has basically been mask free? Are you aware that they have been âin personâ school almost the whole year without masks? Granted, there numbers are a little higher, but what do you think will happen if/when the shut down states ever open up? You guessed it, they will catch up big time. Hereâs an idea...How about donât watch/read any news for a week or more (youâll survive), go to an in person church service and sing loud, and then engage in some real common sense critical thinking on if this is the kind of world you want your kids/grandkids to grow up in. 2 year olds in masks? And if your 2 year old wonât wear it, you get kicked off the plane? Wearing a mask while driving by yourself? POTUS wearing mask on a zoom call with world leaders? Our supposed expert on disease says to wear two masks, even if youâre vaccinated? Would 4 be even better, sir? I for one, am putting away my mask. I look forward to seeing your smiles again.
