Just in time for LDW, Local Summer: Oat Fluffed is baaaack! ☀️🌊🍻

Remember Invincible Summer? Local Summer is its returning counterpart, brewed with the same oated base and toasted coconut, but with the welcome addition of juicy dragonfruit! This 6% Fruited Pale Ale is dry hopped with Lupulin Citra, Zeus, and South African Experimental XJA2 before being conditioned on toasted coconut and dragonfruit, resulting in a soft, crushable beer with a gorgeous scarlet hue and bright, tart kick. Quite frankly, it’s the perfect beer for squeezing every last drop out of summer—and we’re celebrating the local life all month long...

We’re stoked to have THREE brand-new collabs dropping throughout September, with a new release each week from one of our local beer friends. Stay tuned. And speaking of local, join us on Sunday, September 13 from Noon-4 PM for the Barnegat Oyster Pop-up at Icarus Brewing featuring their fresh, local oysters to pair beautifully a cold pint of Local Summer and $6 Hard Seltzer specials!

The cans are labeled. The kegs are ready. Battle of the Beers 2 begins TOMORROW!

Starting when doors open Tuesday, September 1, The WRAT 95.9’s “It’s Gotts” 5% Pilsner goes head-to-head with Ma Deuce Deuce’s “1 More Round” 4.8% Session IPA, all to support Ocean of Love for Children with Cancer.

Last year’s reigning champ, Gotts Lager, is crisp, clean, and endlessly refreshing—but don’t count out 1 More Round. This Session IPA packs plenty of flavor and punch despite its 12oz format and lower ABV. Both will be pouring in the Taproom throughout the battle, with the final tally coming the weekend after our Billboardathon Kickoff Party on Thursday, September 10.

We’re bringing everyone together for the official kickoff party, with The WRAT broadcasting LIVE from Icarus in the afternoon, followed by live music from OutFox, The Merge, and Tie Dye Skye to round out the evening. Plus, crafts and activities for the kids and, of course, plenty of beer flowing. We’ll be lifting our usual 21+ hours that night, making this a family-friendly evening for the whole community.

Come hang with us, have some fun, raise some funds, support Ocean of Love and one another, and drink some Icarus beer for an incredible cause. Grab dinner from our neighbors at Burger25 and make a night of it.

Local Summer is only about to begin, but before we know it, the leaves will start changing and falling. Mark your calendars to check out a fresh collection of local art inspired by the wings of Icarus. From feathers to flight to wax wings, we can’t wait to see how each participating artist interpreted the theme.

Submissions for this gallery are now full! Select pieces will be available for purchase directly from the artists. Opening night is all about supporting local art, local beer, and the creative community that makes our corner of NJ so special. DJ Dusty Dubs will be spinning vinyl at 5:30 PM, and as always, we’ll have plenty of delicious craft brews to sip on!

The Ictoberfest 2026 Stein is here!

This year’s collectible is a sleek 21oz Libbey Frankfurt mug, and it’s made for hoisting. The only question is what you’ll be hoisting in it...

For $20 on Ictoberfest, you’ll get the mug + your first full pour of Mr. Oktoberfest, Festbier, Amber Lantern, A Walk Through Helles, Flying, or Das Beste. After that, bring your mug back to the bar for $5 refills of any of those beers throughout the event.

Quantities are limited and, if history is any indication, these are expected to sell out. We’ll have them available at Ictoberfest starting when doors open at NOON on Saturday, September 19th until they’re gone (no holds), so if you want one, get here early.

Come ready to fill it, hoist it, drink it, and repeat. Prost!🍻

It may be cloudy out there, but the sun is trying to break through—and so are we!

We’re squeezing every last juicy drop out of summer with Touching The Sun: Oat Fluffed on this final Friday of August. This 10.5% Triple IPA is extremely heavily oated (to replace the lactose and maintain a creamy, dreamy mouthfeel) and loaded with Citra, Columbus, Simcoe, Motueka, Lupulin Mosaic, Lupulin Simcoe, Lupulin Citra, AND Nelson Sauvin hops.

It’s easy to get lost in this beers ridiculously juicy swirls of sweet citrus and stone fruit that seem to dance throughout its smooth body supported by a dank and resinous backbone. The forecast may not be the best, but there’s always sun to be found here at Icarus Brewing! 🍺

Different beers, different glassware 🍻

Proper glassware isn’t just about looks. The shape, size, and how a beer is poured all play a vital role in the drinking experience—from aroma and temperature to how the beer presents in the glass.

Our standard 16oz pints are Willi Becher's served with a proper foam head to help promote aroma. Higher-ABV beers like our NEIIPAs and Barrel Aged beers are smaller pours in Tulip glassware, better suited to their strength and style. The classic 16oz dimpled Lager Mugs help refract light, while the thick glass and handle help keep it colder longer. Even our full-pour Hard Seltzers have their own treatment, served over ice to keep them crisp and extra refreshing.

And then there’s Yacht Juice. Our near-and-dear flagship, which we serve as a full, juicy 16oz pour even though its 8% NEIIPA, because some rules are meant to be broken. 😉

New Sour Ale: Flying! 🐦✈️🚁

You might remember our Fruited & Flying series of Fruited Berliner Weisse ales. Well, we’ve taken that idea in a new direction with a brand-new recipe that puts the beer itself front and center, letting quality ingredients and technique shine.

Flying, is a 5% Modern Berliner Style Weisse brewed with Golden Promise, oats, and red wheat then soured with our house blend and lightly hopped with Bru-1. No added fruit, no adjuncts—just a carefully crafted balance of sweet and tart with soft grainy character and fruity notes derived from the yeast and hops.

Fresh cans are out now. Come get Flying!
