Smooch” is a GORGEOUS 2019 sorrel mare offered to you by Jordan and Chelsea Sterkel, with Sterkel Performance Horses. Smooch stands 14.3 hands and is as versatile and dependable as they come. She is ranch broke and has been our go-to horse for the past couple of years, proving herself time and time again in every aspect of ranch work. From roping and dragging at brandings, to doctoring yearlings out in the pasture, she handles it all with confidence and ease.
She is no slacker when it comes to the arena either! She has been extensively used on the heel side, scores well in the box, rates, and has a huge stop. Smooch also has 90 days of breakaway training, and is started nicely on the barrel pattern and is ready to haul and season. She has the foundation and talent to continue in any direction you choose!
Gentle and kind-natured, she is safe enough for me to pack around our rambunctious 3 year old, and has even been used by a 6 year old in the barrel pen. She is well mannered, level headed, and an absolute sweetheart to be around. You would think you bought a gelding with how quiet natured she is.
