Our Spartina cynosuroides (Big Cordgrass) is absolutely thriving in this saltwater intrusion zone. πŸ§‚

Where traditional crops once grew, saltwater intrusion took over. But we weren’t about to give up on this field. Instead of fighting the rising tides, we pioneered a way to work with them - Saltwater Intrusion Zone (SWIZ) Agriculture. 🌊

By changing our approach to farming, we aren't just adapting to environmental shifts - we are actively healing the land both on the farm and elsewhere through the production of native salt marsh plants. 🚜

This native powerhouse helps stabilize the shoreline, restores the coastal ecosystem, and proves that farming for the future means farming with nature. 🌾

🌾 Premium salt hay sustainably harvested directly from the coastal marsh at Cohansey Meadows.

Whether you need a nature-based solution for erosion control, construction, or agricultural mulching, our high-quality salt hay delivers unmatched performance:

✨ **All Natural & Chemical Free** – Pure, untreated, and completely clean.

🌱 **Sustainably Produced** – Harvested with a nature-based, low-impact approach that respects and protects our coastal ecosystem.

🚫 **W**d Seed Free** – Salt marsh seeds can't survive in upland soils, ensuring zero unwanted weeds on your garden or project site.

πŸ’¨ **Wind Resistant** – Interlocking, wiry stems knit together tightly to stay put on slopes and high-wind sites.

⏳ **Longer Lasting & Rot Resistant** – Naturally adapted to coastal environments, it resists decay far longer than standard field straw.

🌊🌾 Details of the high marsh - Distichlis spicata, Spartina patens, and Juncus gerardii - More than just the main ingredients in traditional salt hay - they are critical native plants used in conservation projects to rebuild damaged shorelines and protect our coasts. 🌾🌊
