Our new little Charolaise mix calf resting in the pasture. I made sure to take one quick picture and not disturb him or he would take off running. The Charolaise breed have always done well on pasture and I think compliment our main Devon genetics well.

The cattle can really mow down some grass. In 1 day the cattle will turn their current paddock into the pasture to the right in the photo.

The whole herd laying down in tall grass is always nice to see. When a cow is completely full from eating they will lay down and basically digest all the grass they just ate.

2 new August baby calves. Most of our calves come early spring but some come through summer and fall.

Caught this view while moving the cattle yesterday evening. Very thankful for the change in weather from drought to lots of rain.

We got about 45 acres cut, raked, baled in less then 3 days right before the much needed rain. The hay we make is what feeds our cattle though the winter.

These are two of our bulls that we keep for breeding. It's pretty difficult to become a Vitality Pastures breeding bull but these two definitely make the cut. When you use really nice bulls you also produce really nice cows like you see to the left.
