Only two left...

Whole or half hog opportunity!

We have our last heading to the butcher next Wednesday - April22nd, it's the perfect time to stock your freezer.

A little more information:
We raise pure Gloucestershire Old Spot heritage pork on pasture, without antibiotics, growth hormones or mRNA vaccines. They are fed a custom nutritionally balanced swine ration without any animal by-products, in addition to what is found on pasture.
We are a farrow to finish operation - all breeding stock and piglets are raised on dirt without confinement roaming pastures as they please. This means the pork that ends up in your freezer spent its entire life on our farm and we can vouch for the entirety of the pig raising experience .
All butcher fees and delivery are included (limited distance from the farm). We offer a true custom hog experience - for example - you get to pick what kind of sausage you want, how thick you want your chops, what cure you want for bacon, what type of sausage(s) and how big you want roasts.
Timeline- delivery is available approximately two to three weeks after processing.

The result is pork that reflects careful management, ethical handling,
and a feeding program designed with both animal health and product quality in mind.

We're always happy to talk bacon, sausages & more. We’d be thankful for the opportunity to fill your freezer!

Please reach out with any questions !

Have you wondered, or pondered on what items go into your favorite sausages, especially if you are food sensitive like I am?

We recently asked our local abattoir and received the following response.

"In all of our processes we do not and will not anytime in the foreseeable future be using any products or ingredients that contain gluten, MSG, or any of the "Big Nine Allergens": milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, or sesame. I've provided a list of full ingredient breakdowns of what should represent all of our products. Let me know if I've missed something." (I can share them if you are interested.)

This - makes me happy to hear and all the more encouraged that doing what we do in growing our own pork & for those who appreciate the nutrient food on their table.

Whole or half hog opportunity!

We have a batch heading to the butcher this week March 4th, March 25th and April22nd, it's the perfect time to stock your freezer. A little more information:

We raise pure Gloucestershire Old Spot heritage pork on pasture, without antibiotics, growth hormones or mRNA vaccines. They are fed a custom nutritionally balanced swine ration without any animal by-products in addition to what’s found in nature.

We are a farrow to finish operation - all breeding stock and piglets are raised on dirt without confinement. This means the pork that ends up in your freezer spent its entire life happily, on our farm.

All butcher fees and delivery are included. We offer a true custom hog experience - for example - you get to pick what kind of sausage you want, how thick you want your bacon or chops, what kind of cure you want, how much you want smoked and how big you want roasts. (We willingly share our favorite recipes.)

Timeline- delivery is available approximately two to three weeks after processing.

Join us...let your voice be heard!

Introducing FACE: A New Network for Pasture-Based Farmers
FACE (Farmers for Animals, Communities and the Environment) was built because we know that giant corporations and their lobby groups are pouring millions into policies that prop up industrial farming and often make it harder for us as farmers to survive. We also know that some of the challenges we face as independent pasture-based livestock and poultry farmers are unique and may not be priorities for other farm organizations. The FACE Ag Network is a platform to speak directly to decisionmakers like legislators, local ag officials, and journalists about our need for more resources, competitive markets, and more.

FACE is being supported by the ASPCA and the Food Animal Concerns Trust (FACT), two organizations with a long history of partnering with and supporting pasture-based farmers. These organizations will be providing training and logistical support.

We are excited to help get this off the ground, small independent farmers work hard in transformative farming & humane animal treatment. We need better opportunity for product placement into the food chain, including more options for processing dates & locations with labeling that distinguishes our products from commodity foods.

If this sounds like something you may be interested in, we’re hosting an informational webinar on “Policy and Pasture: Advocating for Pasture-Based Farming and Farmers through the FACE Ag Network” Tuesday, March 31st at 1:00pm ET and I’d encourage you to sign up here. Even if you are unable to attend, all registrants will receive a follow up email with a link to the webinar recording.

https://www.faceag.org

We would also be happy to answer any questions or give you more background on the types of the policies we’ll be advocating for.

The first national, pasture-based farmer network focused on policy solutions that protect animals, people and land!
