A few words of wisdom from Dave…

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM DAVE NICHOLS
As a follow up to the late Dave Nichols tribute to Carlton Corbin, I would like to present you with what Dave thought every seedstock producer should be required to do to qualify as breeder:
1) Feed a pen of calves out of your bulls from one of your commercial customers at a commercial feedyard.
2) Go to the Zoo to study structure.
3) Read and study the lessons of Goldy Locks - too hot, too cold, just right; too hard, too soft, just right; & etc.

Dave bred and marketed performance Angus, Simmental, South Devon, SimAngus and an Angus/Simmental/South Devon composite bulls to a loyal commercial clientele, and the farm continues to run and innovate as built to be since his passing.

Pictured is Dave's portrait from the Saddle and Sirloin Gallery; the highest honor you can receive in the industry. I had the privilege of chairing his committee and writing his biography for the award.
