Our High Tunnle Greenhouse is almost completely planted. We planted 300+ Tomatoes, 5 different varieties, 75 Peppers, 100+ cucumbers and 50 Yellow and Green Squash. We have 1 row left to plant in the High Tunnel . We will plant Red Bell Peppers and some Okra plants. The Tomato plants have grown over a foot or more since we planted them a few weeks ago.
This is going to be a great weekend to start your vegetable garden. Memorial Day is a great time to plant. Back in the day when I was a kid the old timers always said you are safe to plant your gardens at Memorial Day. No more frost. They were probably right. I never lost anything after Memorial Day.
We have some great vegetable plants in pacs of 4 for only $2.99 , Some big individual Tomato plants in 4” pots for 3.99 ea. These are the varieties we plant in our gardens. Heavy producers of good size firm Tomatoes. Not many left. They are going fast.
We also have a Hanging Cherry Tomato in a 12” hanger that produces so many cherry tomatoes throughout the season. I have been growing them for many years and everyone who has purchased one comes back the following year for another one. All you need to do is water. We plant them with a slow release fertilizer that will last the season. Also we have Patio pot Tomatoes in 2gal. Pots. Put them on your deck or any sunny area. These are 2 Very easy plants to grow. Easy and fun to grow and get lots of fruit.
Good weekend to plant. It’s not going to be really hot and we should get a few showers that will help out.

Sorry I forgot To mention in our last post a few minutes ago , we seeded a new crop that we will be planted in our garden this season and selling at our Stand. Okra. We have had lots of requests from our customers over the last few years. I have never grown it but I remember my Father planted it when I was a kid. He always liked planting something different. So we will try it this season. First time for me.
We have some great looking Fushia hangers in 4 different colors at the stand along with Flower Bags which have been a hit every season. Not many left.
Hope to see you at our Stand.
Buy Local and keep us little Guys going.
Best.

You go to the box stores they sell individual vegetable plants only for 4.89 each. We also have some extra plants left that we plant ourself in our High Tunnel that are on 4” pots.

Thanks to all our loyal customers and lots of new faces that came to our stand this past weekend. Nice to see all our supporters. It wasn’t the best weather to open up. But we had a good weekend. The winds were so bad we couldn’t put a lot of plants out on display. Some got hit with wind burn. It’s been a cold windy Spring. Not good growing conditions.
We have been planting crops in our High Tunnel the last week. For the first time we used a Planting Auger on a cordless drill to make holes for our Tomato plants. This tool is unbelievable. It drills a hole 4” wide and 6” deep hole in less than a minute. For years we used a bulb planter or post hole digger to make holes. Not easy or a nice planting hole. My helper and myself planted 150 Tomatoes in less than an hour. It only took me 45 years to find a easy hole digger. High Tech in Farming. I love it.
Our Spring Hours are Wednesday thru Friday 12-5:30. Sat. +Sun. 10-5:30.

Again thanks to our supporters. You keep us going.
Thanks for supporting the little Guy.

Hello,
Our 2022 season opener will be this Saturday May 7th. We have been getting the stand ready for another opening day.So many. We will be bringing our crop from our Middleboro Greenhouses over to our Bridgewater stand thru out the season. We will have Hanging Baskets, Patio Pots , Potted Plants ,Flower Bags , vegetable and flower packs, Native Honey and our own Fresh Eggs. We have a nice crop and will try to be competitive. I have checked prices at other sellers and they are much higher than last year. We will try to beat them. All growers costs this season have gone up this season. Plastic cost for pots and heating fuel has almost doubled. Fertilizer costs have tripled or more this year. So when you buy your Plants from your local grower or Box Store and see Price increase, this is why. Hopefully our economy will get better soon.Costs for everything is so high today.
It’s been a tough season so far with The unpredictable weather we have been having. Very cold and windy. Hopefully it will change soon.
Our 2 Farm dogs Regan and Shamus can’t wait for us to open. They love coming down to the stand. They come down when we close. They are to young to spend the day as they get into too much. They love to grab pots and rip them apart.
Our Spring Hours will be Saturday and Sunday 10-5:30. Wednesday thru Friday 12-5:30. We will open Daily after July 4th 10-6.

Thanks for Supporting the Little Guy.

Hi. If you want a easy Flower plant to grow and only water, you got to grow SunPatiens. We have been growing them for quite a few years now. We started planting them when the virus came in a few years ago that kills off the regular Impatient plant that was a popular plant for many, many years. These plants are the best. They get very big and wide and fill up space. Best and easiest plant to grow. The best no care plant. Everyone who plants them Love them and plant more than next year. They flower right through October. No deheading no cleaning up , best plant ever. Try them out you will love them. We planted 8 different colors. They look really good. They sell out fast.
Lastly I would like to add I visted 3 different growers Stands this weekend to see what they have and their prices. I do this every year. Just to see what everyone is charging. I couldn’t believe the prices they are charging this year. I know our cost to grow has increased significantly but these prices seem high. 10” Hanging Hangers at these places range from 39.99 to 28 .99. We we sold ours last year at 19.99. I know our’s will go up but we will beat our competitors.

Today we tilled up some of the land at our Bridgewater farm to plant our first crop at 535 South Street Bridgewater this season. We will be planting our Pea Crop this week at the farm.
The start of our Farm Started back in 1965. My Mother and Fathers dream. We are keeping it going.

Spring is here. Our crops are taking off. Both outside and inside. Our Rhubarb crop is pushing thru the the ground and looking good. This is a new crop we planted a few years ago. I think we should have a pretty good crop. Our crops in our our Greenhouses are taking off with the warmer days and lots of fertilizer. Looking good. We should be ready for Mother’s Day weekend. I hope. Opening day for us.
Today we transplanted 200 + Tomatoes that will be planted in our High Tunnel in a few weeks and lots more to be done. Plus we transplanted 300 + Zinnias for cut flowers for our arrangements we sell all season. Still the same price for 30+ years only $2.99.
And lastly our Chickens got a treat today. We have feeders around our farm and keep them filled all winter for the birds who stick around for our hard winters. The seeds that dropped out of the feeders to the ground seeded into the ground and they grew. Great clumps of green grasses. We dug them up and brought them to the chicken pen
They loved them.
Best. Thanks fort supporting the little Guy.
