LATE SEASON UPDATE: We’re working through the last of the Prepick Orders for Group 5 while planning for U-Pick starting next week. The plants are producing heavily with green berries and blossoms still developing. The next couple of weeks we expect a nice crop. We could have nice blackberries into mid September, but the weather will determine how many more weeks we continue to harvest. Only time will tell if the blossoms will become nice berries. Even with shade cloth to protect them, recent extreme heat could impact berry development.

We have two five pound flats of jam berries available for pickup this weekend, August 8th or 9th. PM or comment to reserve, first come first serve. If you haven't filled your freezer or made your jellies/jams yet, now is the time. Description and pricing in comments.

Group 5--It is your time to get blackberries. We are finishing pickups for Group 4 today and tomorrow. We'll begin picking for Group 5 on Saturday. Watch for a text in the next 2 weeks if you are in Group 5. WooHoo! Almost done!

UPDATE: SOLD. These three flats were quickly claimed. However, as we continue to pick blackberries for our prepick orders, we will grade the berries and have more “jam berry” flats. Keep watching for posts announcing jam berry availability.

We have 15 pounds of "jam berries" (3 five pound flats) available for pickup this weekend on a first come first serve basis. Please comment or PM to reserve one, two or all three flats. We will schedule pickup when we confirm. We will update post as the flats are spoken for.

As a reminder as we are picking our first quality, eat fresh prepicked blackberries, we set aside berries that don't meet our strict criteria for prepicked flats. They may not be perfect in appearance, but should be flavorful and perfect for jam, jelly, wine, baking or other processed uses.

Now's the time to make your jams/jellies or fill your freezer for the winter months if you haven't gotten your blackberries yet.

It's your time, Prepick Group 4. We finished Group 3 today and will begin picking blackberries for those in Group 4 this upcoming week. We are harvesting from the late ripening varieties to complete Groups 4 and 5. Once the late varieties begin to ripen heavily, we will schedule U-Picks as we can. The late varieties are covered with shade cloth to protect the berries and plants from the extreme heat forecast. Doing our best to protect those berries for everyone!

07/24/2026

In a few short weeks, it looks like our late ripening “fall berries” should be in full production mode. In 2-4 weeks, we expect to be able to schedule U-Pick days. In the interim, we are finding ripe berries and working through Prepick Group 3. We will move on to Group 4 early next week. We are preparing for the days of high heat coming, protecting the plants with shade cloth so they will continue to produce well. Hope to see you soon!

We are closed for ripening until our late varieties are ready for visitors. Our early blackberries are finished. However, berry season isn't over yet. Our late ripening plants are full and we should have nice ripe berries by the end of July/first of August. We will continue to fill Prepick orders and will open for U-Pick once the berries are ready. Keep watching!

Plants “talk” to you if you listen. Our blackberry plants have spoken to us throughout this season. Early season crop now: “Almost done after a rainy, cloudy start.” Mid season plants in late April:”-21 on Jan 26 killed these canes so they won’t produce berries this season.” Late season crop: “Loving the sunshine and covered in berries. Should have a nice crop ripe in 2-3 weeks.”

Although the early varieties are winding down and the mid season variety was a loss, our late varieties are looking great! Berry season isn’t over yet!

Group 3, you are next up! Groups 3, 4 and 5, you should have received an email in the last week with a picking update. If you haven't seen that email, many filters may move our emails to other folders.

We are starting the orders from our first ripening variety, but will move on to complete the orders as our later ripening varieties are ready. The later ripening blackberries are absolutely full of green and pink berries.
