West Wind Farm We are a family run farm in Brimfield that produces heritage breed pork products and beef. We sell our products from our food truck locally.

Our animals are treated humanely, and have plenty of room to run and enjoy some of the best views in Brimfield!

Sad vision to wake up to... Probably one of the most photographed trees in Brimfield, which had been sick for a very long time fell last night during the (relatively minor) storms.

This is a tree that had lived over 100 years, seen thousands of storms and even 1 tornado. You can see it in the old picture as one of the several trees in a photo taken about 100 years ago, but the other, older photo- taken from Prospect Hill from an earlier period doesnt show any trees (that can be made out at least).

However old it was, and whatever stories it knew, it will be now missed (and we feel much more exposed now!).

In this chapter of I went old school to the year 1750, when the 2 story section of my house was built (or thereabouts). This was used as flag during the Revolutionary War, but was actually designed by Ben Franklin and published in the Philadelphia newspaper to gain support and unity among the colonies during the French and Indian War. The "Join or Die" tag is a little harsh, but taken in context, I kind of like it.

As a side note, this flag is not hung for any other purpose than it's historic context. If a flag has been recycled for modern day use, that is not our message. I like the flags for how they are originally intended and to honor the original owners of our home,which, in this context includes the 2 older sections of the house.
