Onions seeded out in 288 cells per flat. Makes great plants and root plugs easy to plant outside when the ground warms up. Trying something different with some flower seeds. germinating in sealable bags. Viola seedlings doing great, almost ready to plant on when the first real leaves grow.

Tomorrow starts the 2026 gardening year for me, onions are the first up for the seeds to be planted. I put this table together many years ago to track when to start start seeds and plant out. It also has the information used to make labels. This is very much a home gardening plan, our farmer's market friends are the professionals.

We have quite a few perennial mums at Dragonfly Farm. Found out this year that cutting them for the house has brought in late fragrance that has lasted for over 2 weeks. Some of these are still going strong in the yard after a couple hard frosts.

Now that the dahlias are dug up and packed away for the winter , I’ve moved on to planting some beautiful tulip bulbs which will bloom next April and early May. Crossing our fingers that the voles don’t eat them.
