The store is OPEN and ready for you to come grab some veggies for the week ahead or stock up your freezer!

The Chinese cabbage is excellent for making sauerkraut! So many varieties of slaws, soups and side dishes to make with this veggie! We have many more ready to harvest depending on demand. 🥬

Lots of tomatoes are out! The orange cherry tomatoes are super sweet. Pair these with onion and cucumber for the most delicious salad!
We added a few larger heritage tomatoes. They are just under (I actually love them this way!), perfect for a mid week sandwich. Many more on the way! 🍅

We also have a bunch of patty pan squash out - very similar to the yellow crooked neck summer squash! All of the summer squash is so yummy baked with fresh garlic (yes that is out too! 🧄) and parmesan. The larger zucchini is perfect for zucchini muffins, breads and sauces! I love adding to my tomato sauce!

Lots of incredible veggies in the store ready for this week’s dinner! The tomatoes are so sweet they taste like candy 😍 If you haven’t tried the Unicorn Kale yet - it is a MUST! It has quickly become a staple in our household, my daughter eats piles of it raw and I eat kale daily! It is a softer leaf with a curled texture on the edges that gives it the crisp. Highly recommend for soups, salads, side dishes and even starring in your main dishes 🥬

Holy harvest day! 😍

The storefront is stocked with all of your favorite early summer veggies! Come shop with us this week instead of the grocery store!

On the colorful menu:

- Trilogy Bush Beans and Green Beans
- Yellow Summer Squash
- Zucchini
- Mamba Kale
- Lettuce
- Cucumbers (*limited)
- Rainbow Swiss Chard
- Kohlrabi and Purple Kohlrabi
- Onions
- Radishes
- Farm Fresh Eggs and Cut Flowers (*limited)

Kohlrabi is part of the cabbage family for those of you wondering! It is crunchy, slightly sweet with a hint of peppery flavor. It is delicious sautéed or roasted. It can even be eaten raw, added right to a veggie platter or made into a slaw!

We have also gotten many questions on our egg supply. The teeny tiny eggs included in each half dozen are in fact specialty chicken eggs! Our two 1 pound bantam chickens are our best layers! There are occasionally very large/brown speckled eggs included which are turkey eggs from our two girls. Our flocks are geriatric, not production birds and lay sporadically so our supply comes in waves, usually weather dependent.

The store is fully stocked today! Is anyone else feeling like this is great soup weather?! New variety herb boxes with garlic scapes are the perfect soup starters! There are free flower bunches on the table (while available) for those who purchase an herb box! 🌹

In case you missed it, garlic scapes are now available! There are so many ways to prepare and store it, such a versatile veggie! We have small and large bundles with a variety of flavor profiles based on the type of garlic! Our family can attest that it is delicious! Tonight we made a garlic scape pesto with pasta, paired with our homegrown salad 🤤

Keep an eye out this week - we will have variety herb bundle boxes with garlic scapes available in the store, in addition to flowers, eggs and lots of other yummy veggies! 🥗
