Bailey ended up having 6 piglets. Two of them were stillborn, and 4 are doing great! Deanna Shunk is the winner, as she guessed today at 2:00 am!

Lots more happened around the farm this weekend. The ducks and geese were all big enough to move outside finally, and they love it! They will be getting a pond, but were pretty happy with a little pool for now.

Everyone else got their pens cleaned, and the chickens have realized that the pigs are messy eaters and they benefit from hanging out with them 😂

It’s happening! Bailey started dropped piglets at 6:30 this morning. As a first time momma, she’s doing great. Curt and I are with her helping her along. So far she has 4 healthy piglets.

We’ve been a bit quiet lately as we’ve been so busy preparing for spring! We are in the process of moving all the lambs, turkeys, ducks, and geese, and chickens out to pasture!

We are also working on getting all our flowers and gardens planted, with a lot of help from our friends at Kimber's Farm and Creations. They sell flats of veggies and flowers for a super affordable price, which is amazing when you have a lot you want to put in! They also have lots of beautiful flowers and a variety of healthy veggie plants. There are some dinner plate dahlias that we are eyeing up for sure! If you get a chance to stop by and see them, you won’t regret it!

Most exciting, Bailey is ready to pop!! We thought she didn’t take, but it turns out she’s going to be a momma! Whoever guesses the day and time the closest for when her first piglet drops wins $50 towards whatever meat they would like. It could be any time between today and days from now!

We had the busiest weekend in awhile around here. We catered a large celebration of life, and then came home to check out Mia’s new show lambs. We are now entering the world of lamb showing, which we are really excited about. She is still struggling with picking out names for these cuties. Suggestions welcome!

Curt…safety first is NEVER his motto. Notice the ladder just laid across the top of the greenhouse, secured to absolutely nothing. The fact that this man is still alive is a miracle 🤣🤣. Nick Garlinghouse, John Shuman, and Adam thanks so much for the help and the pictures lolol.

The pigs are so happy for a bit warmer days, but still snuggle down into the straw at night. I don’t blame them, these mornings are still pretty cold!
