We are a full service boarding facility specializing in natural horsemanship, trail riding, and Hoof Care. We strive to foster a safe and fun environment for the enjoyment of horses and their people. *we don't do guided trail rides, so don't call about that!*

This guy is growing out a bit of seedy toe, but is otherwise in good shape. This video contains the bulk or his trim work. The herd was spunky, so I did the best I could getting it for you guys!

This foot has come a long way since spring. I posted it a while back, just the push of my rasp was enough to flex the heels quite a lot. He’s much stronger now.

Easy little maintenance trim on a fuzzy gypsy vanner. I had to chop part of the video out, so the knife work and balancing are missing… the mares beside us were being a bit too nosy so I edited out all the horse squeals and me almost getting knocked over. Luckily this little horse is a saint and she kept me safe.

This might look like an easy little trim, but this horse has many complicating factors that take extra thought; a weaker caudal hoof and coffin joint arthritis, among them. So this old girl gets to keep her armor, wall height through to the toe pillars, and a tidy little toe. She’s made good progress and really likes this trim.

I got to mentor two fantastic Progressive Hoof Care Practitioners students over the weekend! We worked on some very sweet horses at Charisma’s Landing LLC in Virginia. I love teaching and helping horses, it’s a bonus when I can do both in one day. Even better is empowering others to do that too!

We’ve got three sheep left this year. They came over to get their daily pat on the head and also to complain about the cattle camped out in “their” run-in shed. Sometimes we have to share for a moment, and it’s hard 😂 I’m looking forward to running a small herd of sheep next year too. They’ve been fun!
