It’s not enough to open a brewery and create a few good beers. We want to experiment, improve, and give our customers something new and delicious to look forward to every time they stop in. We draw our inspiration from many of the classic brewing centers across Europe, as well as our colleagues in the USA. The meticulous lagers of Germany, the balanced ales and stouts of the UK, and the inventive spirit of the brewers of Belgium have all been formative to the way we think about and brew beer. But America is a melting pot of cultures, and so too is American brewing. As important as those classics styles are, so is the willingness to throw it all out the window and try something new. This, to us, embodies American craft brewing: taking classic techniques and combining them in new ways to create something that will amaze you. We want to teach you everything we know about craft beer, so you can demand more from what you drink. We hope to share our interpretations of the classics styles you know and love, offering new flavor profiles for you each time you come to visit us!

It’s the end of the week and you deserve a sweet treat! Since last week everyone has been crushing Blood Oath, our slop sour loaded with fruit and marshmallow, so if you haven’t tried it yet…what are you waiting for?

We’re open at 2pm today, but unfortunately we are without a food truck but La Vera Pizza Guido’s Steaks and pizza Sarappo's Pizza Bensalem are all more than happy to cook for you tonight and deliver it right to your table in the taproom.

Happy Thursday! It's a beautiful day for a mug of our freshly released batch of our fall Favorite, Schwarzbier! Easy drinking with just a kiss of roast and toast, this is the perfect b**r for the cooler weather ahead.

We're also excited to have this month's video game tournament this evening. By player request, we're doing 2v2 Smash Bros! Sign ups start at 6, and the games start at 7 so limber up those thumbs for a night of video games and b**r.

We’ve been pretty focused on hops and slops lately, but tomorrow we’re getting back to a classic.

Schwarzbier drops tomorrow on draft and in 4 packs.

Schwarzbier literally means “black b**r” in German, but don’t let the color fool you. The base is very similar to a German Pilsner, with a few tweaks. Ours has a slightly fuller body and malt character, with smooth, subtle notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate.

Dark in color, crisp and incredibly drinkable.

If you’re a dark b**r drinker, this one’s for you. If you’re not a dark b**r drinker, this might be the one that changes your mind.

Available tomorrow at both taprooms.

If you haven’t made it out to our Newtown Taproom yet, the next few weeks would be a pretty great time to change that. We’ve got a lot happening both inside the taproom and around town, and we’re excited to be a part of it.

Here’s what we’ve got coming up:

Saturday, October 24 | Witches, Brews + Warrior Twos
We’re teaming up with LEV Collective & Lizzy / ליזי - RYT 500 Movement Teacher for a Halloween Yoga Flow at the Newtown taproom. The 60-minute all-levels class starts at 11am, followed by a b**r, goodie bag, and some time to hang out. Costumes are optional, but definitely encouraged. Tickets are $35 plus processing fees and also include a free class at LEV Collective.

Saturday, October 17 | Haunted Hustle 5K
The Newtown Haunted Hustle 5K is taking over Newtown, and we’ll be opening early at 10am for the occasion. Run it, walk it, dress up, then head over to Second Sin for the afterparty. We’ll be donating 10% of all draft sales from 10am to 1pm to the charity, so grab a b**r after the race and help support a good cause.

Saturday, October 17 | Bucks County Film Fest
We’re excited to welcome the Bucks County Film Fest to Newtown for its 26th annual festival at the historic Newtown Theatre. If you’re attending the festival and looking for a drink during intermission, we’re right down State Street with plenty of b**r waiting for you.

Thursday, October 15 | Light The Night Pink
Newtown is going pink! We’ll be joining the businesses of Newtown Borough for Light The Night Pink from 6pm to 9pm. We’ll be out on State Street serving draft b**r and cans throughout the night, with 10% of our sales donated to Main St, Newtown’s local breast cancer nonprofit.

Four events. Two busy weeks. Plenty of reasons to come see us in Newtown.

We're just under two weeks away from our Howl-O-Ween event! This cute little guy in the picture belongs to happytaylsphoto and can give you an idea of the photography services she'll be selling on 10/25. Bring your pups in costume and get some glam shots of them!

Jaxs Labrador Retriever Rescue will be on site selling merch and taking donations for their rescue from 12-3pm, during which time we'll be donating 10% of our Taproom sales directly to the rescue as well!

Mark your calendar and come out for an amazing cause to benefit our favorite furry four legged friends!

Obviously we enter competition with the intention of winning, despite sending b**rs in some of the most highly entered categories.

This year the Brewers Association announced the breweries that made the final table in addition to the winners in the 6 categories with over 150 entries, and we were fortunate to be in the top 18 out of 184 in the German-style Märzen category. It's bittersweet to come so close and not win, but we know we're on the right track forward.

Congrats to all the breweries that medaled and a special shout out to our PA friends Wishful Thinking Brewing Co. for their win!

Trust us when we say we are always working to make our b**r better for you, because you deserve it. Don't get satisfied.

Second Sin Bristol is OPEN 9am-5pm FOR THE EAGLES GAME TODAY.

We’re opening early for the game, but that also means we’re closing early. Rudy will be behind the bar from 9am-5pm pouring b**rs and watching the Birds with you.

Come hang out, have a few b**rs, and hopefully watch the Eagles get a much needed win.
