Your garden might be missing bees and butterflies for one simple
reason: they have nowhere safe to drink. 🦋🐝

Everyone thinks about flowers for pollinators. Almost no one thinks
about water. But bees need water just as much as nectar — to cool
their hive, raise their young, and dilute their food. And butterflies
gather at damp ground for the minerals they can't get from flowers.

THE PROBLEM:
A regular birdbath is a death trap for insects. It's too deep and too
steep — a bee that lands on the water can't climb out, and drowns.

THE FIX (it takes 2 minutes):
- Fill a shallow dish or saucer with smooth stones and pebbles.
- Add water — but only until it reaches ABOUT HALFWAY up the stones.
- The dry stone tops become safe landing pads. Pollinators perch on
the stone and sip at the water's edge without ever risking drowning.

WHERE TO PUT IT:
Near your flower beds, in a spot with some morning sun. Refresh the
water every 2-3 days to keep it clean (and mosquito-free).

WHY IT WORKS SO WELL:
- Bees collect water to cool the hive and feed the colony
- Butterflies need the minerals and salts in damp stone ("puddling")
- Birds and beneficial insects use it too

A terracotta saucer costs almost nothing. A handful of stones costs
nothing at all. And within days, you'll notice the difference — a
garden that suddenly hums with life.

The flowers bring them in. The water makes them stay.
