Sand Rock Angus Bob and Sharon Smith Our venture into raising Registered Black Angus cattle began in the 80's. We are firm believers in quality over quantity. We are a family friendly operation.

We have been improving our genetic knowledge and herd quality for over 30 years and continue striving to breed a perfectly uniform herd. This level of control allows us to pay extreme attention to the details of each and every animal. We closely monitor feed efficiency, aesthetics, disposition, and hardiness. We strive to produce bulls that are a well balanced specimen that looks good, performs w

ell in birthing ease and has good growth rates, and has an excellent disposition. The same qualities you desire to see in your own herd. We are always learning from our customers and value what you have to say. We welcome all customers to come visit our ranch and meet us. We sell Private Treaty, so you are welcome to call and come out to view the bulls at your convenience. We have many buyers that find it tough to deciding which bulls to buy, as they are pretty uniform in size and shape. We have EPD's on all bulls and they are fertility tested in April and delivered or picked up in May or sooner.

Cows are hiding their calves in the tall grass and enjoying the warm weather for February. The cows come into the big shed for the night and then out in morning. We use our CowCams in the big shed to check calvers during the night. Helps a bunch. Jed got a shot at a coyote this morning. The guys will be keeping an eye out for more .
