New crocheted plant hangers are ready for the Autumn Festival at the Broadway, VA, Community Market this Saturday!

The smaller ones come with mini ceramic pots (as pictured), ready to be filled with soil and tiny plants, new cuttings, or even an air plant.

The larger style is a bit more flexible and can be customized with your own 4-inch pot.

I have both styles in my kitchen window, and I love them!

Yummm. I'm not big on soup in the summer, but this zucchini chowder from the Simply In Season cookbook is the best! Filled with zucchini (and yellow squash), tomatoes, onions, parsley, and basil from the garden, it's sooo flavorful and creamy.

Come get some chowder veggies at the Broadway, VA, Community Market this Saturday! If you'd like fresh herbs, please send me a private message - I harvest them by request. 😊

Cucamelons!

I haven't had many cucamelons the past few weeks, so I haven't been advertising them. But this week I harvested a bounty of crops - tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, jalapeños, and yes, cucamelons!

You can find them at the Broadway, VA, Community Market tomorrow, 9am - 1pm. Cucamelons often sell out, so the earlier you come, the greater your chance of getting some!

And the bounty continues. 💚

Come by the Broadway, VA, Community Market this Saturday, 9am - 1pm, to enjoy the fruits of summer (and save me from drowning in zucchini and tomatoes!). Yep, that's a full quart of cucamelons - and counting.

I have so much fresh basil right now! I made two batches of pesto yesterday for personal use, and today I filled the dehydrator with even more basil. Who knows... you might just see dried basil or even seasoning blends at the market someday!

In the meantime, if you would like to pick up some fresh basil at the Broadway Community Market, send me a message and I'll harvest some for you. 🌿

It's going to be a good week. 💚
