Lilac Creek Farm

Lilac Creek Farm Small Family Farm- Owners Scott and Sarah Leathersich Lilac Creek Farm is a small family farm located on the Ridge in Brockport, NY.

Using sustainable agriculture practices we raise heritage breed chickens and turkeys. Our Kosher Kings and Freedom Ranger chickens are moved often using mobile pens and moveable fencing. We will also be raising a limited amount of Blue Slate and Midget White Turkeys for November harvest. Lilac Creek Farm does not utilize pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizer. Although we are not Certified

Organic, we strive to produce our food using organic methods. Our Chickens will be available the first week of July, the first week of September and the first week of November. Our pasture raised whole chickens are $3.50 a pound. A $5 per bird deposit is required. Brown Eggs are also available for $3.00 per dozen.

I don’t post very often… but I am confused as to how a teenager can get a job. Everywhere seems to be hiring… but this is the second time my son has shown for an interview and was not interviewed. Today the manager told him to wait and after 45 minutes he left. He said she was putting menus up and seemed to be purposely ignoring him. Shame on “adults “ for setting such a good example!

After much hand wringing we made the decision to spay Grace after two wonderful litters of puppies. When Grace and Hamish are apart Hamish experiences extreme anxiety and breaks out in horrible hot spots. He has not left her side since she got home on Wednesday (though there is a physical barrier). It is so sweet! Grace is recovering well! Love these gentle beasties!
