Grandma's Pantry

Grandma's Pantry In honor of our mom, who loved making sure her pantry was always full for others, my family has built this pull-up pantry box for people in need.

It is not limited to food items, they also will have a "Special Occasions" area as well! We ask that you take what you need and add what you can.

Storm damage is repaired and we are open again. Thank you Camillo for setting that beast back on its base. Thank you Mrs. Thomas for your contribution to help us restock. Thank you Broken Arrow for continuing to drop off supplies while we were down. God is good.

The storm Saturday night blew the pantry over and damaged some of the trim and the roof. We will be out of commission for awhile, but we will get it rebuilt and open again as soon as possible. Please be patient as work and family responsibilities will come first.

Stop by and help us keep this blessing box blessing the folks that need a little boost this week. We try to keep a good selection of essential non perishables if you need a temporary help.

One year ago Grandma’s Pantry opened on County Line Road between 91st and 101st in Broken Arrow. It was a vision of Debbie Hills’ and is in her honor and memory. Debbie’s heart was that too many children in BA weren’t reaching their potential because they came to school too hungry to focus. Over the past year our friends have provided food for hundreds of these kids. The pantry was opened as a means to give back, but I assure you, through this ministry we have received far more healing and blessing than we have given. The outpouring of kind generous people has been tremendous. The need is still great, and if you haven’t, you should allow yourself to opportunity to put in a few groceries, and watch what God can do with your willingness.
We have so many people to thank that I just can’t list them, but I also can’t not. Keep watching for future post as we will start telling some stories and counting our blessings.

We are so blessed in Broken Arrow that ya’ll continue to stop by and fill the pantry. With insane grocery and gas prices, the need is great. It’s especially tough with kids out of school. If you know someone that could use a boost, let them know where we are. God bless you all, and especially Cheryl, who spends so much time and money keeping this pantry full, and straight and even puts decorations out front.
Hugs and lots of LOVE to the folks at Franciscan Villa Assisted Living, Parc Place and Diakonos for adopting us and providing their residents and staff the opportunity to give back by helping us out. You guys fill my heart.❤️💕

We saw this little pantry on a weekend trip to Eureka Springs. It was empty, so we shared a little from Broken Arrow. I figure it’s a little pay it forward, since Guthrie folks helped us get ours started.

What a blessing!! These two ladies stopped by the pantry today to fill it with a generous assortment of groceries. The pantry supplies food to families that have hit a bump in life’s road. These ladies will never know who they helped, or what their need is, yet they give freely.
They bless my family as well. We deeply miss Debbie and the pantry was her dream. Through the kindness of random saints and angels we continually see Debbie’s heart.
Tears flow freely today because I caught these ladies giving, but they are healing tears of great joy.
God bless you random stranger ladies!!

Apparently fresh produce is in demand by our pantry shoppers. We stocked this, and in half an hour is was ALL gone. It’s full again now, so come get it. We want those kiddos to eat healthy in addition to an occasional treat.
If you live close, and get a chance to drop off a bunch of bananas or potatoes (or whatever) we could use the help. Likely we won’t be able to keep it full all the time, with our other responsibilities.

With spring air comes more to share! As we enter this warmer season, we encourage you to donate tomatoes, apples, corn, potatoes, and other fresh fruits and veggies! Help us this week, March 13–19, as Grandma’s Pantry collects fresh produce for the community.

Are you part of a group or club that would like to adopt us? Your group could have a designated week of the month to fill the pantry and you fill it one or more times for that week. This would help tremendously with the ongoing work of feeding hungry families that come to our Pantry! Message us if you’re interested so we can coordinate your week with other groups! 🥰

Your response to our last post was phenomenal. I can’t find words to express our gratitude to all of you that support us financially either through dropping off groceries or donations. I pray that your heart is blessed through what you’ve done.
There’s an Andrew Gold song I bet you’ve heard. Next time you hear it, please consider it personally from us to you!!
Thank you for being a friend 🎶
