Although this w**e has a little bit of skin contact, and the name could bring you in that direction as well, is not an orange w**e.
•
Orangetraube is a rare, aromatic varietal historically found in the field blends and sweet w**e production in Austria. Translating to “Orange grape”, for its orange tinge at peak ripeness. Originating from wild vines, Orangetraube was first selected as a recognized varietal in 1840 and has been part of the Zahel family’s field blends (Gemischter Satz) since the w**ery began in 1930.

Karl Georg Zahel selected the vqrietql out of the w**ery’s Gemischter Satz in 1966 and isolated it on its own. Two generations later, Alexander is the only Austrian producer of single-varietal Orangetraube.

Lopez de Heredia, the greatest Spanish w**e experience out there is now available at both W**e Press Brookline and **epressfenway. These are extremely limited allocations, meaning if you don’t act now, they’ll be in someone else’s cellar!

These w**es are aged to perfection and demonstrate beautifully crafted tertiary qualities - fruity, oaky they are not. Aaron has described these w**es as the “Burgundy of Spain” and it’s time for you to experience them for yourself.

If you’re new to New England this September, you might be under the impression that we have four seasons - summer, fall, winter, and spring. This is opposed to places like Chicago (winter, construction) or Florida (sweltering, apocalyptic) that have only two seasons. A native New Englander will tell you, however, that we have more than a dozen seasons.
•
Right now, we are in what’s called “Phony Fall.” It’s that time of year when crisp air and cool temperatures abound - until you wake up one morning and it’s 90 degrees at sunrise. What do you drink during this fake-out of a season? Swick W**es has the answer. From Columbia Valley, Washington, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is equally at home in summer or fall. It begins with a crunchy blackberry and bell pepper note typical of Pacific northwest Cab.

It maintains a brimming acidity instead of bold, super-dry tannins. This is a playful w**e that’s acid driven and refreshing, perfect for a hot day. It’s equally at home in cooler weather with a delightfully long and warm oak-influenced finish. This w**e pairs wonderfully with lamb dishes, butternut squash soup, or aged Vermont cheddar and toasted bread. So pop open a Swick and raise a glass to Swick (but do it quickly, because it’s about to get real cold, real fast here).
