We owe everyone here a little update… and probably an apology for disappearing for a while. ❤️

The truth is, since everything happened with the town, our focus has been on fighting to keep our little farm together. It’s been stressful, exhausting, and honestly pretty heartbreaking at times, so posting here just hasn’t been at the top of the list.

But we haven’t given up. Not even close.

We are fighting with everything we have for our animals, our home, and the little farm we’ve built and love so much. There have been a lot of conversations, a lot of paperwork, and a lot happening behind the scenes.

And now, we finally have some next steps coming.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in, supported us, shared our posts, signed the petition, or simply reminded us that we’re not fighting this alone. It has meant more than you probably realize.

For those of you who live in Brooklyn, CT, or have friends or family who do, the zoning text amendment regarding small-scale hobby farming in R-30 zones is expected to have its public hearing on November 4th. If this is something you care about, please make your voice heard and participate in the public hearing.

If you’ve noticed we’ve been a little quiet lately, we wanted to let you know why.

The last few weeks have been some of the hardest we’ve faced since starting Mysiuks Misfits Farm. We’ve been spending nearly all of our time and energy fighting to keep the animals that have become part of our family.

Many of you know that our farm has always been about giving animals a safe, loving home. They’re not livestock to us—they’re rescues, they’re spoiled rotten, and they’re family. The thought of losing them has been heartbreaking.

While we can’t share every detail just yet, we want you to know that we’re doing everything we can to stand up for them. We truly believe they’re exactly where they’re meant to be.

We also want to say thank you. Every like, comment, share, and message of encouragement has reminded us why we started this page in the first place. This community has become so much more than followers—it feels like family.

No matter how difficult this journey gets, we’re not giving up without a fight.

Now it’s time to get back to what we love most: sharing the daily adventures, the chaos, the laughs, and the animals that brought us all together.

Thank you for standing with us. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to. ❤️🐐🐷🐔🦆
