My farm participated in the NAHMS 2024 Sheep Study. There was a delay in processing the results, but today I got back my lameness pathogen report.

When the vet took the sample swabs, they were actually very excited by how healthy my sheep's feet were, because one of the things they really wanted to know was if the pathogens associated with foot rot and foot scald were truly causal, or if they were something that was also present on healthy hooves.

If my flock was any indication, they are not present on healthy hooves.

When adult cats show up here I generally TNR (trap, spay/neuter, release) them, plus deworm and vaccinate while I have them caught. This very friendly kitten showed up at a neighbor's, though, and it's too young for that treatment so it needs some help getting back home. Let me know if you recognize it.
