This is a seriously interesting article for anyone who considers science to be the best indicator of truth. If however, you put more faith in sensationalized "journalism" and social media posts, you probably won't want to read it:

http://chriskresser.com/3-reasons-gluten-intolerance-may-be-more-serious-than-celiac-disease/?mc_cid=b6048607a9&mc_eid=abe63c9f8b

Recent news stories have downplayed the significance of non-celiac gluten sensitivity, even going as far as suggesting that it doesn’t exist. But a growing body of evidence has proven that gluten intolerance is not only real, but is potentially a much larger problem than celiac disease.

Restaurant food isn't meant to be healthy. Nor is it meant to be eaten every day. This article does an excellent job of visualizing how many calories can be lurking behind a single meal or portion. The best part though, are the examples of how you can eat (and how much less it will cost) if you prepare most of your meals at home.

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/12/22/upshot/what-2000-calories-looks-like.html?WT.mc_id=2015-MAY-KWP-AUD_DEV-0501-0531&WT.mc_ev=click&ad-keywords=MAYAUDDEVFB&kwp_0=15064&kwp_4=106709&kwp_1=143495&_r=0&abt=0002&abg=1

Even as restaurants talk about smaller portions, they continue to serve a full day's worth of calories in a single meal — or even a single dish.
