We are deeply saddened to learn that Bread Stuy and Bread Love co-owner and long time resident Lloyd Cornelious Porter passed away today.

Lloyd and his wife Hillary were early supporters of Bed-Stuy CSA / Bed-Stuy Farm Share. They realized both the importance of and mutually beneficial partnership of bringing our neighbors together over coffee, delicious pastries, and fresh produce sourced regionally and/or from farmers of color by hosting our weekly pickups in front of their cafe.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Porter family, friends, and neighbors for whom the Porters were an integral part of the social, cultural, and economic fabric of Bed-Stuy.
