Initiated by Ksenya Samarskaya and Leon Johnson, Traffic–Tide is a dinner series that exploits agile collaborative partnerships and conjures inventive convivial gatherings. Running as a liminal pop-up, Traffic Tide invites guest chefs to explore geographical
ties to culinary traditions. Emphasizing the full engagement of the table, Traffic Tide moderates conversations between chefs and dinnerware designers, encouraging the dialogue to actively continue on the table even as the makers step away. Throughout the series, we’ll be working with a range of artists and artisans, bringing their talent to our evenings and portioning out interviews on this site. Traffic Tide asks questions of what it takes to congregate all the elements [of an engaged dinner], and pushing at the opportunities possible once everything is at play.
