Here at Moonstruck Maple, between line repairs, we brunch! Today’s is our classic Maple Sausage Quiche. It’s so good, give it a try.
Moonstruck Maple Sausage Quiche
4 eggs
1 cup half & half or heavy whipping cream
1/2 pound ground sausage cooked
1/2 onion carmalized
Moonstruck maple syrup
1-1.5 cup of shredded cheese
Pie crust
Salt & pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, place pie crust in 9 inch pie pan, cut and pinch crust edges.
Mix sausage and onion and put in the pie, drizzle with maple, evenly place cheese over the sausage mixture. Whisk together cream, eggs and salt & pepper. Slowly pour over the pie. Take a fork and gently lift some of the cheese and sausage to ensure the egg mixture goes through the entire mixture. Bake for an hour till crust and cheese are golden and slightly browned. Enjoy!!
