We have u-pick apples from mid-August to mid-November. Trees are kept small so it is easy to pick. No ladders allowed. Very well marked and organized.

LARGEST APPLE CONTEST WEEK #2 WINNER

The Second week of the Largest Apple Contest has a winner! Juliette won week #2 with an Apple weighing in at 1.56 pounds! We are amazed each week at the bigger and bigger apples you all are finding. APPLES, PUMPKINS, AND PEARS

We are heading into a beautiful fall weekend with what looks to be some good weather! A great weekend to come search the orchard to enter the second week of the Largest Apple Contest. This weeks winner will be announced on Monday and will receive TWO FREE BUCKETS of u-pick apples.
Pumpkins are plentiful! We have an abundance of classic carving pumpkins ready to be found in the patch. Rescue a pumpkin to take home and carve! We tripled the amount of Pumpkins we grew this year to ensure we have an abundance of choices to choose from, so you are sure to find the perfect Pumpkin.
Tomatoes and Peppers are overall still doing great. We will have them ready for u-pick until the first frost.
We have our last load of Pears at the stand. Bosc! They look amazing, so don’t miss your last chance to grab some.
This will most likely be the final week of the Sunflower Maze. The flowers are just starting to finish up. Take a stroll before they are finished. The rest of our u-pick flowers will still be available until the first frost, with beautiful bouquets at the stand on weekends.

The First week of the Largest Apple Contest has a winner! Victor won week #1 with an Apple weighing in at 1.60 pounds. It was a GIANT!
Congratulations to Victor, they won two free buckets of u-pick apples. We start week #2 today, so make sure to stop in at the Apple stand and have your largest apple weighed to enter week #2. The winner will be announced next Monday and receive TWO FREE BUCKETS of u-pick apples!
We also had the rest of our late season Apples pop up today. Rome Beauty, Cripps Pink, Gold Rush, and Grannysmith are all now Ripe and Ready!
Rome Beauty has a gorgeous ruby red skin that’s as beautiful as it is tasty. These apples are perfect for baking whole and add a lovely touch to any pie. Not only do they taste fantastic, but they also store well, making them a great choice for your fall baking adventures.
Cripps Pink are a great sweet-tart apple that are wonderful for snacking, baking, applesauce, and storing. We did a contest a few years back and made an apple crisp out of every variety in the orchard and blind tested them. The Cripps Pink were a unanimous winner! They are better known as Pink Lady.
Gold Rush is a very fun apple. It is a tart-sweet apple with a great crunch. It is great for snacking, baking, applesauce, storing, and our very favorite choice for apple c***r. This apple almost tastes like it is carbonated. If you haven't ever tried one, we highly suggest you do.
Granny Smith is your classic green apple. A tart apple that sweetens when baked and makes the most amazing pies. These are great for storing as well.
The Pumpkin Patch is thriving with a huge assortment of pumpkins to be found.
Tomatoes, Peppers, and Flowers are also still doing great and with the weather we are having, should be available for several more weeks.

PUMPKINS GALORE AND THE LARGEST APPLE CONTEST

The weather is beautiful this weekend and we have a lot of fun activities to get outside and enjoy!

Start with the Pumpkin Patch. Rescue a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch to take home and carve! We have a huge selection of carving and decorative pumpkins to find! We tripled the amount of Pumpkins we grew this year to ensure we have an abundance of choices to choose from, so you are sure to find the perfect Pumpkin.

It is officially October! Which means, for the seventh year, it is time for our Largest Apple Contest! This year we will have a winner every week in the month of October! We will announce the winner of the week every Monday starting on October 5th. The contest winner every week will receive TWO FREE BUCKETS OF U-PICK APPLES! The contest is judged by weight of the apple and the apple has to have been found in our orchard. We have a scale at the stand so make sure to stop and have your largest apple recorded to be entered to win the weekly prize! We will record the size of your apple, and your contact information so we can call the winner and let them know they won.

Next, grab a map and take the Self-guided Orchard Tour! Our self-guided tour is set up and starts at the mailbox by the Apple stand. Grab a map and find eight stations in the orchard and read the informational graphic signs to learn about the steps we take throughout the year to keep our orchard healthy.

Fourth, head out to the Tomato and Pepper picking rows and grab some tomatoes. They are plentiful now and will be ready to be picked until the first frost.

Finally, take a stroll through the Sunflower Maze. Our sunflower maze is in its home stretch of blooming. Make sure to take a stroll through the maze before the blooms start falling. After you stroll, check out the u-pick flower rows.

Parking is free and we do NOT charge admission. We are excited to have some fun with you all this weekend on the farm!

FUJI AND BRAEBURN ARE READY

What an exciting morning we had as we tested our fall apples - and guess what? Two varieties are ready for you to enjoy! Fuji and Braeburn are the first of our storage apples to ripen this season, and you won't want to miss out.
Let's start with the Fuji. A favorite known for its irresistibly sweet and crunchy flavor. These apples are incredibly versatile. Perfect for snacking, baking, or making applesauce. Plus, they're the first storage apple of the year! When stored properly, they can last an impressive 3 to 6 months. Last year we sold out in just over a week, so make sure you seize the opportunity to grab some Fuji while you can!
Next up is Braeburn. This sweet and crunchy apple is a must try for both eating fresh and baking. With its delightful flavor and great storage qualities, it's a fantastic addition to your fall apple lineup.
The Pumpkin Patch is looking wonderful. Whether you're looking for the perfect pumpkin for carving, decorating, or baking, we have a fantastic selection waiting for you.

PUMPKINS, APPLES, AND TOMATOES, OH MY!

The sunshine returns this weekend! A perfect time to come enjoy the ever expanding Ripe and Ready list. This week we have 8 different varieties of Apples to choose from.
Pumpkins are ready to be found in the patch! We have been thrilled to see the giant stems on our carving pumpkins, and the color coming out of our decorative patch are so exciting! Mini Pumpkins, Baking Pumpkins, and gourds are all available at the stand as well as in the field.
Tomatoes are doing fantastic. Peppers are doing great also, with a plentiful amount of Jalapenos ready to be picked.
Watermelon in the field are done for the season. We have a few still available at the stand for we-pick.
The Sunflower Maze and u-pick Flowers are still going strong! The maze will last for a couple more weeks. Make sure to take a stroll after you are done picking your Apples.

THE PUMPKIN PATCH IS OPEN!

The Pumpkins are ready! The hunt is on for your perfect pumpkin. We are so excited to see the fun colors and shapes that are being found and brought up to the stand. We had quite a fun time picking our varieties this year. Gourds and Squash are now ready as well. We have Butternut, Acorn, Spaghetti, and Delicatta squash available for u-pick.
Tomatoes and Peppers are full and ready to be picked. Our vines are loaded with red, ripe tomatoes.
The Sunflower Maze and u-pick flowers are in full bloom. If you haven't taken a walk through the maze yet, make sure to check it out. Beautiful flower bouquets created by Little Sunshine Flower Farm are also available at the stand Friday through Sunday.
Watermelon are in their last week. If you were wanting a few before they are done for the season, now is the time to grab one.

MELROSE AND GOLDEN DELICIOUS

Melrose and Golden Delicious have popped up and have been added to the Ripe and Ready list!
Melrose are a wonderful versatile apple. One of our favorite picks for eating. They are crisp, juicy, and sweet. But not too sweet. They are wonderful for eating, applesauce, and pies. A must try.
Our first row of Golden's are ready! Golden Delicious are one of the most underrated apples. Some people assume they will be soft and mushy since they have experienced that with store bought Goldens. However, fresh off the tree, Goldens are fantastic! They are sweet, crunchy, and juicy. They are also rated the second best apple for pies. Second only to Grannysmith.
We have our last picking of Bartlett Pears for the season ready at the stand!
The Sunflower Maze is starting to bloom and looking wonderful. We don't charge admission for anything at the orchard and that includes the Sunflower Maze! Take a stroll and enjoy the cool grass. Sunflowers can be u-cut at our u-cut flower rate. We also have u-cut Dahlias and other flowers. And of course, beautiful bouquets ready at the stand on the weekends.
Watermelon are still being picked in the field. However, we don't expect these to be plentiful for much longer. Make sure to come pick some before they are gone for the year.
Tomatoes and Peppers are plentiful and thriving with the weather we have been having. We will have Tomatoes and Peppers until the first frost, so for quite a few more weeks.
Cucumbers are about done for the season.
The Pumpkin Patch and Squash will open next week!

LIBERTY, RED DELICIOUS, AND SUNFLOWERS

The Ripe and Ready list is growing! This week we have added Liberty and Red Delicious to the list.
Liberty are a deep red apple that are tart and crisp. They are our favorite choice for drying apples.
Red Delicious can sometimes get a bad wrap. But fresh off the tree, these apples are great! Crunchy and mild in flavor, they make a great snack.
Our Sunflower Maze is starting to bloom! It is a maze again this year with grass paths for easy strolling. The Sunflowers are also available for u-pick as well as the dahlias and other flowers. Pre-picked bouquets are also ready and available at the stand on weekends.
Watermelon are still plentiful in the field for u-pick and available at the stand for we-pick. Don't miss your chance to pick a Watermelon this year!
Tomatoes and Peppers are doing great and in abundance.
The Cucumbers are PICKED OUT! We thought we grew enough plants this year, but it looks like we will need to double up next year. They need about a week to replenish.
Pumpkins, Gourds, and Squash are ALMOST ready! We expect to open them soon.

OPEN LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Labor Day weekend is here and we are OPEN! We are open regular hours for the entire weekend and are excited to see you all.
Watermelon are ready and we have Bartlett Pears in at the stand!
Our first row of Jonagold for the season and Ruby Jon have been added to the Ripe and Ready list!
The Jonagold are sweet, crunchy, and we think they have a classic apple flavor. They are great for eating, applesauce, and pies.
Ruby Jon are a fun sweet apple. They are a dark red apple and our favorite choice for applesauce. If you leave a little bit of the skin on while cooking down your apples, it will turn the applesauce pink!
Tomatoes, Watermelon, Peppers, Cucumbers, Flowers, and Zucchini are still plentiful and ready for picking!
We have about another week before Pumpkins, Squash, Gourds, and the Sunflower Maze are ready. Have you visited and found our Pumpkin Arch Yet?
It is the weekend, so we have beautiful bouquets made on site by Little Sunshine Flower Farm ready at the stand!
