Springboro Tree Farms includes a sugar bush and walnut tree planting, a Christmas tree grove, a small orchard, an apiary and about 40 acres of forest and wetlands. Here we produce small quantities of maple syrup, honey, apple products and Christmas trees which are donated to charitable causes. les Deam forestry stewardship award, Springboro Tree Farms is also certified in accordance with the American Forest Foundation standards of sustainable forest management. The American Tree Farm System is internationally recognized. Certified Family Forests meet eight standards of sustainability and are typically managed for multiple purposes: water, wildlife, wood and recreation.

Monticello is White County’s first official Tree City USA! So with Earth Day and Arbor Day both less that a week away, the Monticello Tree Board and the Parks Department celebrated with a very interesting program of public information as well as a tree planting today. Great fun …. And always good to see young people discovering the wonders of nature.

We love beekeeping… especially in the spring when there is so much potential in every hive! These new queens will soon be introduced to their homes in the Springboro Tree Farms apiary. Each box contains one queen and three or four attendant bees.
