Parents, don’t let a perfect attendance certificate hold you back from opportunities. We support a perfect attendance of course (we want you learning new things always!) BUT there’s is so many opportunities through 4-H and FFA activities, events, and contests that I promise the responsible student (aka those who put the work in to keep their grades up while earning these opportunities) will greatly benefit from not only now but in their future.

As a mom I can give my personal experience that Morgan as a student has never been your straight A/perfect attendance student. However, the things she has learned along the way have also benefitted her to change her mental process to create balance in responsibility. I am happy to report that despite the school giving me attendance warnings (although thanks to this bill passing all were excused absences but 1 I forgot to submit), Morgan finished her 7th grade year with all A’s and B’s for the FIRST time. This has never have happened with Morgan as she has struggled with school. But thanks to opportunities through 4-H she has learned better practices that made the year easier for her. Take it from one parent to the next, they will be ok if they miss a few days. I promise.

As per usual summers are busy for most. This week we are wrapping up our record books, project summaries, and SOEs to turn in for Morgan and then me and Eddie are headed out for a birthday surprise Thursday to Sunday. He’s getting his first Disney experience thanks to our friends 😉.

While Morgan is off at UF for iLEAD we took the morning to redo the wash rack. It’s not perfect but it works well for us.
