The new house has come along so beautifully! First coat of paint is complete inside and out. We have cabinets, countertops, floors. It will be complete soon and we will be occupying it in the beginning of January (for tax purposes). We’ll send final build pics when it’s complete!

We have now officially moved to the campers on property full time, for these last remaining couple of months. Our beautiful home in Trinity will be listed on MLS this coming week. If you know anyone looking for a home in fantastic family neighborhood, send them our way!

The joys of country life. This time it's (another) snake in the chicken coop 😆

It was not happy with me and was quite scared. It was smaller so probably a bit younger than some of them before, and therefore a bit more jumpy. The older ones are less afraid and usually just act a bit dejected due to being removed from a great buffet of eggs. 😊

Progress is being made. The under-slab plumbing and electrical has been signed off on by permitting, the footers are dug and the ground is getting prepped for the slab poor.

We expect a lot of rain this week, so it might not happend yet, but I'm glad to see things happening! 😎

After multiple delays… we have some progress to share! Starting to look quite different around here. Front section of the property cleared and dirt ready for leveling.

“Hurry up and wait” is how it’s all been going on the new build. Lots happening behind the scenes though. Signed building contract in December, closed on building loan in January. Lots and lots of decisions made. And now! Permits are all back and breaking ground is about to happen! We should start seeing action very soon! We were told we should have a foundation by the end of May.

At the same time we are working and preparing to sell our home in Trinity, which is also a lot of work. After 2 years and 9 months since began this journey, we’re tired. But we’re almost there. We hope to have more updates very soon!

Here’s something for you to see! We signed off on our cabinets and here’s our new kitchen! Will be about twice the size of our current (tiny) kitchen! Can’t wait to be hanging out at this 10ft kitchen island!
