Our trip to Georgia was a huge success. We have been busy splitting, combining, adjusting, adapting and just plain working hard to make 5-frame Nucleus Colonies ever since we got home. What this means is that in a few short weeks our 5-frame Nucleus Colonies will be ready for a new home.
These Nucs will have 3+ frames of brood and the attached bees, 1+ frames of stores and/or space for these rigorous egg layers to do their thing.
Prepaid orders are still being accepted for $225 each.

We are so curious how your installations went - feel free to write your stories below!

Be sure to check on your queens today - hopefully they have been released. If it’s been 3 days, you can consider the “quick release” by removing the cork from the non-fondant end.

Remember to feed, feed, feed - that’s what stimulates those wax glands so the girls can make comb for your brood and resources.

Consider a mite test to see where your starting number is.

On May 23rd, we will have another field day with a focus on testing for mites - but any questions and observations you have had so far are welcome!
