Bo and his friend Tyler put in some work today. They cleaned 5 broad breasted turkeys, the largest breed of turkey, so they were monsters. We packed up some massive Turkey legs that I cannot wait to smoke, some of the biggest breasts I’ve ever seen (calm down boys were talking Turkey) and about 10 of ground turkey. The deep freezer is popping!

This was a first for me! I’ve never made fire cider but now that I have I know I’ve been missing out. It still needs to ferment for about a month and then we will strain, add honey, and p**f OXYMEL (I’ve just learned this word haha). It smells so amazing, I cannot wait to try it. This is another immunity boosting whole food medicine, combining the healthy benefits of garlic, ginger, turmeric, onions, jalapeños (and habaneros 😬 ), lemon and several other wonders from the garden. I love when my medicine grows from the ground, just as God intended. 🥰

Today was such a fun and productive day! We stocked our shelves with plenty of homemade Elderberry Syrup and I can honestly say it’s our best batch yet!! In this recipe I used local, raw honey, organic ginger, non-gmo cloves, rose hips, echinacea and of course, elderberry.

We do have a few 16oz jars available for $35/ea. Fantastic for boosting your body’s natural flu fighting abilities and tastes delicious at the same time! PM me if interested.

This is TWO WEEKS of feed, only two weeks!

I’m on a mission to change the way we feed these animals. I’m looking into fermented and sprouted grains as well as potentially growing our own grains to just keep the whole process in house. 🦃🐓🐖🍳
