Our Culinary 2 students wrapped up the year with their amazing International Food Truck Final Project! 🌍🚚🍴

Students researched countries from around the world and created authentic food truck concepts complete with:
✨ A custom truck design
✨ A slogan
✨ A full menu
✨ A promotional flyer
✨ And a featured dish for judges to sample!

From Egusi inspired by Ghana and South Africa, to Marry Me Chicken from Ecuador, Chicken Piccata from Italy, and so many other delicious creations, students showcased incredible creativity, research, teamwork, and culinary talent.

The classroom was transformed into an international food festival filled with flavor, culture, and innovation. We are so proud of the hard work and passion these students brought to their projects! 👏👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

Culinary 2 students are hard at work preparing for their International Food Truck Project! 🌍🍴

This week, students tested their recipes inspired by the countries they’ve been researching. From bold flavors to creative presentations, each dish reflects the culture and cuisine of their chosen destination.

Through this process, students are refining techniques, adjusting flavors, and fine-tuning their recipes in preparation for their final presentations in just a few weeks. We’re excited to see their hard work come together—stay tuned for the finished products! 👩‍🍳

Our Culinary 1 students wrapped up their Beef Unit with an exciting Ground Beef Lab! 🍽️

Throughout this unit, students built a strong foundation in understanding different cuts of beef, explored which cooking methods work best for each, and learned how to properly cook meat to the correct degrees of doneness.

To put their skills into action, they prepared a delicious variety of dishes including:
• Lasagna Casserole
• Taco Egg Rolls
• Sloppy Joes
• Beef & Veggie Fried Rice

From mastering techniques to creating flavorful meals, these students showed great growth, teamwork, and creativity in the kitchen. Way to go, Culinary 1! 👏

Our Foods students wrapped up their Breakfast Unit last week—and what a delicious success it was! 🍳🥞

Throughout the unit, students learned how to prepare a variety of breakfast favorites, mastering techniques for eggs from sunny side up to omelets. They also explored making pancakes, waffles, breakfast meats, and crispy hashbrowns.

To put their skills into action, students selected from a range of recipes—including pancakes, waffles, breakfast burritos, and more—and prepared them in class. It was great to see their creativity, teamwork, and confidence grow in the kitchen.

We’re proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see what they cook up next!

Today was a special day in the kitchen! 🍽️✨

We were excited to welcome students from Taylor Elementary School to the high school for a hands-on cooking experience with our Culinary Arts 2 students. A total of 22 high school students teamed up with 12 elementary students to create some delicious treats, including English muffin mini pizzas and Rice Krispie treats!

Beyond the fun of cooking, our Culinary 2 students stepped into leadership roles—teaching important basics like proper handwashing, how to read a recipe, and essential kitchen safety skills. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

It was an incredible day of learning, collaboration, and smiles all around. We’re so proud of our students for being such great mentors and role models! 💛

Our Culinary 2 classes had an incredible experience exploring Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield, Ohio! 🌎🍽️

Students toured the store, sampled unique and exciting foods, and shopped while discovering cuisines from around the world. From international flavors to hard-to-find ingredients, it was a hands-on opportunity to expand their culinary knowledge and curiosity.

This trip is all part of their preparation for their upcoming final project, where they’ll be diving deeper into global cuisines and cultures. We can’t wait to see the creativity and inspiration they bring back to the kitchen!

Special thanks to our AMAZING bus driver, Durinda Ambercrombie, for getting us there and back safely. She also got to go on the tour with us and share in the experience!
